Monitoring applications using employee monitoring software

Do we need employee monitoring software ? can we use CCTV or firewall or anything else, or do we need employee monitoring software to enhance employee productivity.

Supervising and Monitoring employees can be very complicated and time consuming, but nevertheless its required, especially when you have medium level cadre in your company.
